GUIDED MEDITATION | THURSDAYS 8:30PM

This class offers a guided meditation technique called Yoga Nidra.
Yoga Nidra is an evidence-based practice that puts you in the deepest possible state of relaxation.
It is enjoyable, easy to do, and therapeutic for the body, mind, and heart.
 
In our fast-paced world of multitasking, juggling responsibilities, and having too much on our plates, we are in desperate need of stillness, relaxation, and time for ourselves. 
The practice of Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce tension, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain, release stress, increase resilience, and bring deep rest to your body and mind.

BEGINNER SERIES | STARTS JANUARY 20

The 5-week Beginner Series will be offered at YOGAWORKS FELL’S POINT and is a perfect introduction to the philosophy and postures of yoga.

The 5 classes are on Saturdays 11AM-12:30PM
1/206, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, and 2/24

It is designed so that upon completion, you will have acquired a foundation in yoga that will equip you to start sampling other classes and develop your own practice.

Here’s what you will learn:

  • Foundation of basic yoga postures to maximize benefits of the practice.
  • Introduction of yogic philosophy to deepen understanding of teachings.
  • Yogic breathing techniques to reduce tension and manage anxiety.
  • Basic mindfulness and meditation techniques to increase inner peace.
  • How styles of yoga differ and how to develop a consistent practice.

While this IS meant to be taken as a series, you’re welcome to come to any of the weeks individually.

Standing Postures + Yamas (guidelines for an ethical life)

Week 2 — OPEN TO POSSIBILITIES
Backbends + Niyamas (guidelines for growth)

Week 3 — CONNECT WITH CALM
Forward bends + Breathing practices

Week 4 — EXPLORE YOUR OBSTACLES
Twists + Meditation

Week 5 — PRACTICE FOR PROGRESS
Bringing it all together + into your life
